Designs by Patricia Myer, Snaidero USA Coral Gables Flagship in collaboration with interior designer, Herbert Brito
Our Coral Gables senior designer, Patricia Myer was hired to design the kitchen, bath, and bar island for a local penthouse with 360-degree views, which the client purchased and renovated entirely.
Project designer Herbert Brito created a cool rotunda-type space, planning bedrooms and living areas along the exterior perimeter to take advantage of the beautiful views and keeping rooms like the kitchen on the interior side.

CREATING DISTINCT BUT UNIFIED DESIGNS
Given the fluidity of the space, it was important for the designs to have aesthetic continuity, serving as a backdrop for the client to instill their personality through their choice of furniture, art, and décor.
Patricia accomplished this through a white palette and a mostly minimalist style, while using different cabinetry lines to give each room a distinct identity.
THE KITCHEN: TRANSITIONALLY MODERN
The kitchen uses Snaidero’s KELLY, a transitional cabinetry line. The client saw it at the Snaidero USA Coral Gables showroom and fell in love with its unique concept of traditionally framed doors where the handles are replaced by a modern integrated channel.
KELLY also features mullioned glass cabinets, which created the perfect stage for the client to showcase their favorite display items. The elegant frame of the cabinets provides a nice touch that brings the whole design together.
MAKING THE MOST OF THE ENCLOSED KITCHEN SPACE
The client originally wanted a series of walk-in pantries but the enclosed footprint made that impractical. The final design strikes a greater balance between storage and counter space by making room for a small island.
The room features 4 integrated pantries, 2 full size refrigerators, and two functional areas, with a prep sink on the island and a clean-up sink on the opposite wall. Miele appliances include steam oven, convection oven, electric burner, gas burner, and Teppanyaki grill.
The reflective quality of the Arctic white high gloss lacquer finish and the added depth offered by the glass cabinets keep the space from feeling full.
THE BATH: COMBINING CLEAN AESTHETIC WITH FUNCTIONALITY
In the bath, doors with channels would have been more distracting, detracting from the view. So, the team opted for the more solid (but light) visual continuum of our CODE cabinetry line. The Arctic white lacquer finish was carried over from the kitchen with marble tops that are similar to, but not the same as, the ones in the kitchen.
Knobs and handle bars provide functionality while adding personality to the design.
THE BAR ISLAND: ELEVATING THE LIVING AREA
Adjacent to the kitchen is a gorgeous open floorplan that brings together living room and dining area. Patricia designed an island with functional cabinets to complement the bar station, and a glassware storage unit to be added later to the wall behind it.
The island front panel and waterfall countertop are in Onyx and designed to light up at night to add a stunning ambiance to this space made for relaxing and socializing in style.
