Inside look at Snaidero's kitchen cabinets

10 Hidden Snaidero Cabinetry Features That Make Life Better in the Kitchen

Aesthetics are what catches the eye and makes a modern kitchen attractive but it is the hidden functional qualities of the kitchen that makes it a place where you’ll love to spend time for many years to come.  This is why, for over 70 years, Snaidero has been true to its “form follows life” philosophy in designing and manufacturing its luxury kitchen cabinetry.

Each functional feature is created with the best technology available and tested thoroughly to deliver unparalleled ease of use and durability.

Here’s a look at 10 hidden qualities of every Snaidero kitchen.

1. HEALTHY MATERIAL CHOICES

The wood particle boards used for all Snaidero kitchens comply with the strictest world standards for formaldehyde emissions. The emission levels are less than half of what is required by the LFE E1 international certification and also comply with the standards set by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Phase II, the EPA’s TSCA Title 6, and the CATAS Quality Award certification.

The panels are covered with melamine resins (also standards compliant) to create surfaces that are scratch resistant and easy to clean.

2. THICKER BACK PANELS FOR CABINETS

Snaidero cabinets come with the thickest back panel in their category (5 mm/0.2 inches). This ensures a very solid structure for your kitchen.

3. WORLD-CLASS, HEAVY-DUTY HINGES

The hinges of your kitchen cabinet doors must be able to sustain opening, closing, and sliding motions several times a day for many years. That is why Snaidero only uses Blum hinges, the best in the world. They come with a built-in closing spring and a soft-closing device. They allow 3-directional adjustments, so the doors can open at almost 180 degrees facilitating the full pull-out of drawers and baskets when needed.

4. SMOOTH MOVES

Thanks to the use of the Blumotion technology, the drawers and baskets of all Snaidero kitchens open with just a soft touch and have a controlled closing system that is smooth, silent, and never blunt - regardless of the load they bear and how forcefully they are shut. In fact, the harder the movement, the greater the control the system puts on the closure.

This guarantees ease of movement and low impact for the cabinets, increasing their longevity. The technology itself is tested for great durability through 100,000 cycles.

5. HIGH-CAPACITY, RESISTANT DRAWERS AND BASKETS

Durable and heavy-duty drawers and baskets are one of the most important part of a modern kitchen. Snaidero’s mission is to design kitchens for longevity, so special attention is placed on drawers and baskets, using two lines: Legrabox and Tandembox Antaro.

Both offer a minimalist and elegant design in stainless steel (grey or white), fluid “simple touch” motion, and significant load capacity (40 Kg/88 lbs for drawers and 70 Kg/154 lbs for baskets). The 12.8 mm (0.5 inches) minimum thickness for the sides of drawers and baskets guarantees their solidity.

6. PROTECTED SINK UNITS

The sink cabinet features a natural aluminum lining to prevent water leaks and resist chemical agents.

7. WALL AND PANTRY UNITS IN CUSTOM HEIGHT AND WIDTH

Snaidero’s standard cabinet modules for wall and pantry units have a flexible and versatile design that makes it possible to customize their height and width to the centimeter. Tall units can reach a maximum height of 274 cm (about 108 inches) thanks to the availability of extra storage elements that can be added at the top. This gives you the functional benefits of custom-made furniture, allowing you to design a kitchen that fits your space and unique storage needs.

8. INCREASED CABINET DEPTH TO MAXIMIZE SPACE EVEN MORE

Increased cabinet depth is a subtle way to gain valuable storage space in your kitchen. Snaidero does it in two ways:

  • Wall units depth: 33 cm (13 inches), which allows more room to store even the largest serving plates.
  • Base units/countertop depth: in addition to the standard 60 cm (23.6 inches), base units and (consequently) countertops are available as 64 cm (25.2 inches) deep. This makes a big difference not only in terms of storage but also in expanding the work surface you have available. It helps you keep the most commonly used tools and items on the countertop without sacrificing the space for food preparation.

9. PASSEPARTOUT: KITCHEN ORGANIZATION, TAILOR MADE FOR YOU

Designed by industrial designers, Alessandro Andreucci and Christian Hoisl, Passepartout is an open and flexible system of containers to accessorize every Snaidero kitchen. They are versatile storage elements in different shapes and sizes, made of wood, aluminum, or fabric to allow you to find a neat storage place for every item, even the loose ones that always seem impossible to store. The containers are made to fit inside drawers and cabinets or even hung on the inside of a pantry door, can be pulled out and placed on the countertop when you are working, and rearranged as needed.

With Passepartout, every nook of your kitchen is intelligently and elegantly organized to best serve the way you use the kitchen and move around the space.

10. SNAIDERO “CONTAINER”: A ROOM WITHIN THE ROOM

Snaidero “container” is a smart, functional solution to carve out more room within your kitchen, even when you are dealing with space limitations. Available in two sizes – 150 cm (59 inches) and 220 cm (86.6 inches) - Container creates a walk-in “room” within your kitchen. You can choose from 3 different internal layouts: laundry room, pantry, or a mix of both.
